Fernando Cancela, Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Cancela has developed two start-up companies that each sold for more than ten times their initial investments.  The first was a private courier company which became the largest private courier in Uruguay.  The second was the Latin American distributor for ZAP, a U.S.-based electric car manufacturer that eventually acquired Mr. Cancela’s distributorship.  Immediately prior to establishing Green Ray, Mr. Cancela was employed by ZAP for approximately ten years working as the Director of Operations and the Director in International Affairs.  In these roles he was responsible for overseeing all offshore manufacturing operations and for providing leadership and strategic direction to the company’s international product management team.  Mr. Cancela attended ORT University in Uruguay.

Leanardo Scaglia, CFO (Chief Financial Officer)

Leonardo Scaglia joined the management team of GRI as CFO in 2011. Prior to joining GRI, he held senior financial positions with a variety of companies in the internet and financial services industries, such as AOL Time Warner, Capital One Bank and Fidelity Investments. He has been responsible for reporting, financial planning and analysis, cash management, financial strategy and internal controls.

Leonardo holds an MBA with concentration in Finance from Baylor Universtiy and a BS in Economics from Louisiana State Universtiy. He also has a master certificate in project management from George Washington University.

Patricio Troncoso, CIO (Chief International Officer)

Our Chief International Officer, Patricio Troncoso, graduated from IESE University in Spain and is a former senior executive for Latin American companies such as Microsoft, NCR, AT&T and Infomix Corporation. As a successful entrepreneur in Mexico, he also introduced the Segway Personal Transporter through his company Mitzi Trading and founded, along with current  CEO, Green Ray Vehicles  and Green Ray Corp. Patricio is a Chilean engineer, based in California, married, two children, occasional golf player,  was the founder of Pacific Group  (an association of entrepreneurs and executives) and former President of the Chilean Association in Mexico.
